Preamble Bars (displaying 180° symmetry) and numbers must not be entered. Having filled the grid solvers must draw a single closed loop along grid lines, which cannot cross itself or touch at cell corners.
In each clue a letter needs to be added before the clue can be solved. One letter (either immediately preceding or immediately following this addition) from each clue contributes to a message, which should be helpful in ascertaining how many sides of each cell are used by the loop (at least one for each grid square).
Answers include one in ODE, one in Brewers, and
some proper nouns.
